“I randomly stumbled across NYC Wholesale Diamonds and Keith Saxe, but I’m glad that I did. After looking up a specific diamond for an engagement ring that I saw in-store priced around $10k, I found that same exact diamond at NYC Wholesale Diamonds for about $5k. That immediately gave Keith credibility in my mind.

Talking with Keith was unlike talking with anyone else I dealt with in my diamond search. He was happy to answer questions as I moved through the process and gave me his honest & straightforward expert opinions along the way. When it finally came time to buy, a few other websites had the same diamond I ended up choosing listed for slightly less (Many sites will list the same diamond for sale – same GIA certificate # – as diamonds are offered on an exchange between dealers and different dealers will list the same diamond without having physical possession of it). I reached out to those other sites and quickly found out why they were offering the same stone for slightly less – they gouge you on the cost of the setting.

All in, NYC Wholesale Diamonds offers the best prices and Keith was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I can’t say enough good things about my buying experience with Keith & NYC Wholesale Diamonds. I strongly recommend buying from them and have already recommended them to a friend who also bought an engagement ring. Both of our fiances were thrilled with their rings, as were we knowing that we received a quality product at a great price!”

Emerald, the May Birthstone

%Jeweler NYC %NYC Wholesale Diamonds

Emerald is the green variety of beryl, and a symbol of rebirth believed to grant the owner foresight, good fortune, and youth. Emerald is derived from the word smaragdus, meaning green in Greek.

In its finest quality, Emerald is the rarest of the colored precious stones…even more than Ruby and Sapphire.  Chemically, it is a beryllium-aluminum silicate whose color is due to small quantities of chromium compounds. The emerald was highly esteemed in antiquity; the stones were used for ornaments in early Egypt where some of the first emeralds were mined. The finest emeralds are found in South America in Colombia, where they have been mined for over 400 years. The gem was a favorite in pre-Columbian Mexico and Peru, where it was cut in intricate designs. The treasure taken back to Spain by early explorers included emeralds. Good emeralds are the most highly valued of gem stones. India, Zimbabwe, and Australia are minor sources of the natural stones.

NYC Wholesale Diamonds carries a full line of Emerald and Diamond Fine Jewelry. Our President, Keith J Saxe, has custom designed Diamond and Emerald Engagement Rings for over 28 years.

Our Latest Diamond Engagement Ring Review

%Jeweler NYC %NYC Wholesale Diamonds

Thank you Christian for your kind online review. We wish you a lifetime of happiness!

“Keith was an amazing person to work with as I searched for the perfect diamond and picked out the engagement ring for my now-fiancée. I met with several people in the area and none made me feel more comfortable and taken care of than Keith. From the very beginning, he was patient and helped educate me on all that there is to know about diamonds and the process of purchasing just the right one. I made several visits to his office during my decision process and each time he could not have been more welcoming and willing to help.  All of the diamonds that Keith presented to me were within the budget that he and I discussed, while several others seemed to only show me ones at the high end of my budget or above. Not only that, but once I found exactly what I was looking for, the price that Keith was able to offer me simply could not be beat anywhere else. I chose one of Keith’s signature settings for the engagement ring and the finished product is truly stunning. My fiancée is absolutely in love with her ring and Keith had so much to do with that – so when it came time to get it resized I was excited to bring her to Keith’s office to finally meet him. I truly believe that Keith has the best interest of his customers in mind, and will do whatever it takes to make sure you leave 100% confident and thrilled with your purchase. It was an excellent experience overall and I highly recommend NYC Wholesale Diamonds. Thanks again, Keith!”

Record Green Diamond Leads Christie’s Sale

%Jeweler NYC %NYC Wholesale Diamonds

A 5.03-carat diamond dubbed the ‘Aurora Green’ is expected to fetch up to $20 million (HKD 155 million) at a Christie’s auction in Hong Kong this month.

The largest natural fancy vivid green diamond in the world, named after a natural light display seen in Arctic and Antarctic regions, will lead the auctioneer’s Magnificent Jewels sale on May 31. A report by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) describes the cut as “cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant” and the clarity as VS2.

“Due to their incredible rarity, top quality fancy vivid green diamonds are extremely difficult to find,” said Vickie Sek, Christie’s deputy chairman and head of jewels for Asia. “Graded by the GIA as the largest, natural fancy vivid green diamond in the world, the Aurora Green is indeed a natural wonder combining the purest vivid green color to a considerable size.”

The auction will feature more 280 jewelry lots with a combined pre-sale estimate of about $100 million.

Our latest Google+ Review

%Jeweler NYC %NYC Wholesale Diamonds

Thank you Max G. for your kind Google+ review! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!

I went to four wholesalers before meeting Keith. “Family friends”. They all tried to get me to purchase stones more expensive than my budget. One family friend promised to hold a stone for me and then sold it the day before I was scheduled to come in. I have no problem negotiating, so I don’t mind dealing with tough people, but my number one goal was to get the perfect stone/ring and they weren’t giving me what I wanted. I decided to search online and saw Keith’s good reviews. Keith was the opposite of any previous wholesaler. I was at first apprehensive, but it’s not an act, he’s chill. Keith showed me a few stones, and after thinking about it and coming back two more times, I purchased a stone he found that was under my budget, and nicer than the rest. Don’t be too persuaded by GIA numbers. The stone has to look the way you want it to. The whole experience was totally comfortable, I got deal  I’m happy with, and the stone is a knockout. Fiancée is happy. Give Keith a chance, you have nothing to lose. PS – I asked Keith to go outside with the stone so I could see it both under natural light and in the shade. He did so without a problem.  – Max G.

CONGRATULATIONS TO NYCWD’S NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES!

We wish each of the newly engaged couples much happiness, love, and success!

%Jeweler NYC %NYC Wholesale Diamonds

“Keith was recommended to me by a friend who had recently gotten her engagement ring through him.  Both of us are extremely thorough so did a lot of research before even speaking to him. My friend assured me that she had looked at almost every jeweler in the city, and Keith was by far the best. When I started looking at rings, I wanted to speak to different people as well to find out for myself. Within half of a day, I realized I was completely wasting my time looking anywhere else. No one could match his selection or prices – and no one even compared when it came to the knowledge he brought to the table.

He was beyond amazing during the entire process of finding and designing the perfect ring. He was incredibly knowledgeable and the most honest  – he knew exactly how to help us get the best possible stone for what we wanted to spend. Never tried to make us spend more than we could – and we didn’t even need to – he had such unbelievable stone choices that were exactly what we hoped to find! Unlike other people we spoke with, he never seemed pushy. He genuinely wanted us to be happy and feel comfortable.

When we decided on a stone, he helped me put together images that I had collected as inspiration and in the end, made an even more beautiful setting than I could have ever imagined. After I gave my guidance, my fiancé was able to work with him on his own to surprise me with the end product. And it was so beautiful!

I cannot thank Keith enough for making such an important process easy and fun. He truly is the best! I cannot recommend him enough. You will get the best selection, quality, service and price with Keith!

If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would.” – Ashley P.

“I had been to several jewelers looking for a diamond engagement ring before I found Keith Saxe, and I am incredibly glad I did. I had found others pushy or just downright ignorant of what they were trying to sell. Sitting down with Keith was like sitting down with an old friend. He carefully reviewed all the basics of how diamonds are graded before showing his wares. Because I had contacted him by email and told him what I was interested in, he had assembled a group of stones that was exactly what I had told him I wanted to see, in exactly the price range I was interested in. He took the time to show each stone, pointing out its characteristics in detail. There was zero pressure to spend outside my range. I had brought a friend who knows a bit more about diamonds than I do who had been trying to encourage me to haggle (which I hate). Once we started talking price, we both knew that was out – there was no reason for it. I had done enough research to know that Keith’s prices are extremely competitive. I cannot imagine getting a better deal on a stone of this quality from anyone else. It’s good to know an honest man in the diamond business. He shoots straight and treats you like a friend. You could not ask for better. The diamond I purchased was relatively modest but I never felt like that made me any less of a customer to him, my needs were always considered. You can’t go wrong.”
